Serving Ontario industry since 1998.

Advanced Industrial Training Inc. has been in business since 1998, serving Ontario with health and safety training services. Our company has grown to provide a wide range of courses going beyond the minimum standards set by government and other regulatory bodies.

All courses can be designed to meet the specific needs of your organization, to ensure job-specific training for all tasks. Programs are designed to include as much interaction as necessary, along with hands-on training to confirm that performance has been met.

Courses are provided either as a public course or delivered at your own facility.

When a course runs at your facility, it uses the equipment you provide, so job-specific skill sets are met. Company policies and standard operating procedures are reviewed at the time of training when supplied for the course being taught. This reinforces management’s commitment to maximize workplace health and safety and to prevent incidents and accidents through knowledge, training and experience. Once a policy or standard operating procedure has been reviewed, participants can sign off that this has been completed — so due diligence can be verified from the signature and date on file.

Holding the work to the program, for the life of the contract.

AITI conducts site audits to ensure that contractors performing work at the invitation of our clients do so following safe practices for the length of the project. We report back to the client, confirming that the health and safety program is being followed and that corrective action is taken where it is not. Preventing accidents and injuries during the life of the contract is the goal.

Site audits for construction projects

Client

Representing our clients to ensure that the constructor is held accountable for the health and safety of all contractors, trades, and union or non-union labourers. Health and safety policy and procedures are followed, using best work practices by everyone working on site, through to completion of the project. We work with the constructor and the trades, giving assistance where required, to ensure the best outcome for the wellbeing of everyone on site.

Constructor

Working with the head constructor, the trades, supervisors, health and safety representatives and committees on concerns arising from the work being conducted on site, to prevent incidents and accidents. Audits determine any deficiencies within the site’s health and safety program and bring them to the attention of the head constructor, alongside solutions that produce positive results for those on site.

Company

Representing individual companies on construction projects to ensure safe work practices are followed and implemented where required on site. We help identify deficiencies in the workplace and have them resolved, and work with supervisors and workers to reduce if not eliminate hazardous situations. We help ensure Field Level Risk Assessments are properly conducted and relayed to workers, and support supervisors when incidents or accidents occur so investigations reach the right outcome.

Note: as a project nears its end, the likelihood of incidents and accidents increases. Complacency may take precedence over health and safety in order to reach completion — and that is when incidents and accidents are most likely to happen.

What a site engagement covers
